Biography
Sporting background
Growing up in Australia, Jonathon Wynn was active in javelin, rugby and Australian rules football before serving as a Commando in the Australian Special Forces. He discovered HYROX while living in Mallorca and, after ten weeks of race-specific preparation, made his debut in Vienna in April 2022.
HYROX achievements
Wynn became a regular Elite 15 contender, finishing sixth at the 2023 World Championships in Manchester, ninth at Nice in 2024 and fifth at Chicago in 2025. He and Graham Halliday also won the men's Pro Doubles race at the 2025 World Championships. In 2026 he placed third in the men's Elite 15 race at the APAC Championships in Brisbane, then helped James Kelly, Jess Pettrow and Calypso Sheridan win the Mixed Relay Invitational world title for Australia in Stockholm.
