Biography

Sporting background

Jess Pettrow began track and field at five, competing in multi-events before focusing on 400m and 800m. Recruited from Australia to Georgian Court University, she ran track and cross-country from 2014 to 2018, became a multiple conference champion in middle-distance events and set school records at 800m and 1,500m. After college she moved into strength training and CrossFit before finding HYROX.

HYROX achievements

Pettrow finished ninth at the 2025 Elite 15 World Championships in Chicago. With Joanna Wietrzyk, she set the women's Pro Doubles world record at 54:24 in Perth in September 2025, then lowered it to 53:56 while winning the Melbourne Elite 15 Doubles race that December. In 2026 Pettrow took Elite 15 bronze at the APAC Championships in Brisbane and helped Australia win the Mixed Relay Invitational world title in Stockholm.
