Biography
Sporting background
Ryan Kent competed in cross-country and track at Concord University, including the 3,000m steeplechase. He moved into obstacle-course racing after college, joined the Spartan Pro Team in 2015, and placed second at the 2017 Spartan Race US Championships.
HYROX achievements
Kent won the 2022 HYROX North American Championship in Chicago, then finished second in men鈥檚 Elite 15 at the 2022 World Championships in Las Vegas. He placed fourth at the 2023 World Championships in Manchester and won the first HYROX Major, held in Chicago later that year. In 2025, Kent and Rylan Schadegg finished third in men鈥檚 Elite 15 Doubles at the World Championships in Chicago.
