Alexander Ron膷evi膰 was a competitive swimmer for almost 20 years before his HYROX career. Early-morning and after-school pool sessions developed the discipline and mental resilience he later carried into HYROX. A friend sent him a link to the Vienna race in 2018; Ron膷evi膰 entered the Pro division and finished fourth on his debut.
HYROX achievements
He won the 2023 European Championship in Maastricht and retained the title in Vienna in 2024, before becoming individual world champion in Nice. He had finished second at the 2021 and 2023 World Championships. In Warsaw in April 2026, Ron膷evi膰 set the men鈥檚 HYROX singles world record of 51:59.37, becoming the first athlete under 52 minutes. Two months later, he and Tim Wenisch won the Elite 15 men鈥檚 doubles world title in Stockholm.
