Biography
Sporting background
Rich Ryan competed in cross-country and track at Saint Joseph鈥檚 University, placing third in the 3,000m steeplechase at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championships. He later moved into obstacle-course racing before transitioning to HYROX.
HYROX achievements
Ryan set what was then the men鈥檚 Open doubles world record of 48:36 with Pelayo Menendez Fernandez in Dallas in 2023. He placed third at the 2024 North American Championships in Washington and at Glasgow in 2025. At the 2026 World Championships in Stockholm, he finished seventh individually and third in Elite 15 Doubles with Menendez Fernandez.
