Biography
Sporting background
Melanie Maurer played in Switzerland's NLA handball league before switching to endurance sport. She became the 2022 long-distance duathlon world champion at Zofingen and added the 2024 European middle-distance title in Alsdorf. In November 2024, Maurer placed third in Pro Women at Poznan.
HYROX achievements
In April 2025, Maurer won the Warsaw Pro race in 1:02:01. Two months later, she finished 10th in Elite 15 singles at the World Championships in Chicago. With Jennifer Nikolaus, Maurer placed fifth in Elite 15 Doubles at Phoenix 2026 and sixth at the EMEA Championships in London before the pair raced the World Championships in Stockholm.
