Biography
Sporting background
Vivian Tafuto was a breaststroke, individual-medley and sprint-freestyle swimmer at the University of Virginia. She competed at the NCAA Championships in each of her four college seasons and earned honorable-mention All-America recognition in 2018 as part of Virginia鈥檚 200-yard medley relay. Tafuto also raced the 100-metre breaststroke at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. She graduated in 2019 and discovered HYROX later that year.
HYROX achievements
After racing at HYROX Dallas in February 2020, Tafuto rose to fourth at the 2023 World Championships in Manchester and third at the 2024 World Championships in Nice. Racing Elite 15 Doubles with Lauren Weeks in 2026, she won in Phoenix, Washington and Warsaw before the pair took the women鈥檚 Elite 15 Doubles world title in Stockholm.
